A Brand New Year, A Brand New Start

At 12 midnight, we will now say goodbye to year 2008 and welcome year 2009.

There are so many things that had happened in the year 2008 like global crisis, natural calamities and disasters. But nevertheless, year 2008 has been a way to new experiences, new acquaintances, new friends and new lifestyle. All of it may or will change in the coming year and we will never know what new things will be in store for us.

As the new year approaches, let us not forget the Lord for giving us a new year to start a new life. Let us also not forget our family who have always been there for us through the years. Let us not forget our friends whom we have shared our ups and downs for the year 2008 and let us not forget our loved ones who have already passed away for they will not be forgotten.

Since the New Year will be a fresh start for all of us, don't forget to say thank you for all the things that have happened in the past and apologize to those whom we have hurt unintentionally.

To those who are reading my posts, I would like to say thank you for taking time in reading it.

To my old friends, thank you for all those years that we have known each other. I'm sorry if I had been distant and I'm sorry of the things that I have done wrong. Since everyone changes, I will also. It may not be the year but someday I will. I wish you all the best.

To my new friends, thank you for being a part of my life this 2008. I hope in the coming years we will still be friends.

To all, I thank you very much and have a HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Insomia Behavioral Remedies

Ever wondered how you can solve Insomnia? Sure you could always use a sleeping pill since it's so easy. But do you know that you can also use behavioral remedies? In this post, I'll be talking about how to solve Insomnia through behavioral remedies.

But first, what is Insomnia?
--
Insomnia, in general, is a problem about not getting enough sleep. But there are differences in how this comes about. The difficulty of an insomniac may lie in falling asleep, waking up frequently during the night, or in waking up too early. For some people, Insomnia is temporary, because of stressful life events. For others, it can be the caused by a psychological problem like depression. --

Can sleeping pills be used to cure Insomnia?

-- Yes it can. However, it is not advisable because they lose their effectiveness overtime. They also have some serious side effects like nightmares, memory loss, and hallucinations. --

If that would be the case, then how can you cure or remedy Insomnia?

-- We can cure or remedy Insomnia by behavioral remedies. --

What are those behavioral remedies?
-- These behavioral remedies can the following:

a. Maintaining a regular sleep schedule. Go to sleep and get up at the same time everyday.

b. Eat a proper diet.
c. Avoid stimulants such as coffee, soft drinks, and cigarettes. Instead, drink warm milk and eat starchy foods, like bread and potato, which can increase the level of brain serotonin (serotonin is a neurotransmitter associated with sleep)
d. Don't go to bed too full or too hungry
e. Exercise regularly, but do not before bedtime.
f. Take a warm bath before bedtime.

g. Do not work up the mind before going to bed. Avoid thoughts that can cause anxiety, worry or excitement. Sleep is essentially a matter of knowing how to let go.
h. Learn how to relax before going to sleep. This can be done through a simple relaxation exercise (like progressive muscle relaxation), meditation, or listening to soothing music.
i. Don't fight Insomnia. Instead of forcing yourself to sleep, get out of bed and engage in some activity. Go back to bed only when you feel sleepy again. --

Source: Teh, Lola A. and Macapagal, Ma. Elizabeth. General Psychology for Filipino College Students. pp. 112-113

Some additional ways on how to sleep: [This was given by our professor in Gen. Psych last sem]

a. While lying on bed, inhale and exhale while saying one 'single' number in your mind.

b. While lying on bed, relax your mind and focus in relaxing your body. Pretend your floating and you'll feel relaxed.

And so there you go, behavioral remedies for Insomnia. I tried most of it myself [even though I don't have Insomnia LOL I just want to try if it would really make me fall asleep] It worked but not always. It may work if you just relax and don't stress yourself if you can't make it work LOL

I hope this post can add additional knowledge about Insomnia.

Until next time~

Heart Warmers

It's almost the New Year and I forgot to publish the rest of my post last few days. Anyway, I now present to you heart warming quotes. Taken from my old blog. [again LOL] This is the last compilation of quotes I have. I'll be posting other quotes that I love individually the next time.

And without further ado, the quotes~

It hurts to love someone and not to be love in return, but what is more painful is to love someone and never find the courage to let that person know how you feel. Maybe God want us to meet a few wrong people before meeting the right one so that when we finally meet the right person, we will know how to be grateful for that gift.

Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, and the romance in a relationship- and find out you still care for that person. A sad thing in life when you meet someone who means a lot to you, only to find out in the end that it was never meant to be and you just have to let go. When the door of happiness closes, another opens but often times we look so long at the closed door that we don’t see the one that has been opened for us.

The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with, never say word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you’ve ever had. It is true that we don’t know that we’ve got until we lose it, but it’s also true that we don’t know what we’ve been missing until it arrives. Giving someone all your love is never an assurance that they’ll love you back. Don’t expect to love in return, just wait for it to grow to their heart but if it doesn’t, be content it grew in yours.

There are things you’ve love to hear that you would never hear from the person whom you would like to heard them from, but don’t be so deaf as not to hear it from the one who says it from his heart. Never say goodbye if you still want to try- never give up if you feel you can go on- never say you don’t love that person anymore if you can’t let go. Love comes to those who still hope although they’ve been disappointed, to those who still believe although they’ve been betrayed, need to love those who still love although they’ve been hurt before.

It takes only a minute to get crush to a someone, an hour to like someone and a day to love someone but it takes a lifetime to forget that someone, specially if that someone who means a lot to you. Don’t go for looks, that can deceive- don’t go for wealth, even that fades away. Go for someone who makes you smile because smile can make your day bright. Hope you find the one who makes you smile.

There are moments in life when you miss someone so much that you just want to pick them from your dreams and hug them for real. Hope you dream of that special someone.

Dream what you want to dream; go where you want to go; be what you want to be; but be sure the things you’ll do is good to the eyes of others specially to God. Don’t waste your time to those things that’s not too important. Be true to your self and be practical. May you have enough happiness to make you sweet, enough trial to make you strong, enough sorrow to make you human, enough hope to make you happy.

Always put yourselves in others’ shoes. If you think that it hurts you, it probably hurts other person too. A careless word may kindle strife; a cruel word may wreck a life; a timely word may level stress; a loving word may heal and bless. The beginning of love is to let those we love be just themselves, and twist them with other own image- otherwise, we love only the reflections of ourselves we find in them. The happiest of people don’t necessarily have the best of everything they just make the most of everything that comes along their way.

Happiness lies for those who cry those who hurt, those who have searched and those who have tried, for only they can appreciate the importance of people who have touched their lives. Love begins with a smile grows with a kiss and ends with a tear.

The brightest future will always be based on the forgotten past, you can’t go on well in life until you let go of your past failures and heartaches. When you were born, you were crying and everyone around you was smiling. Live your life so that when you die, you’re the one who is smiling and everyone around you is crying.

And that is all folks. I have to hurry before New Years Eve since I'll be enjoying the rest of the night jumping, making noise, eating food and drinking red wine...[weeeeeee~ try Franzia it's really good!]

Love or Infatuation?

Can you tell the difference between Love and Infatuation? Well, as you can see...this is already an old post of mine the same with Sayings about Love. And like Sayings about Love, I'll never get tired of posting this because it is really nice.

So without further ado, Love or Infatuation?

Infatuation is the instant desire. It’s one set of glands calling another. Love is the friendship that caught fire. It takes root and grows one day at a time. Infatuation is marked by feeling of insecurity. You are excited and eager, but not genuinely happy. There are nagging doubts, unanswered questions, little bits and pieces about your beloved that you would just as soon not examine too closely. It might spoil the dream. Love is quiet understanding and mature acceptance of imperfection. It is real. It gives you strength and grows beyond you to bolster your beloved. You are warmed by his/her presence, even he/she is away. Miles do not separate you. You want him/her, near or far, you know he/she is yours and you can wait.

Infatuation says, “We must get married right away. I can’t risk loosing you.” Love says, “Be patient. Do not panic, he/she is yours. Plan your future with confidence.” Infatuation has an element of sexual excitement. If you are honest, you must admit it is difficult to be in one another’s company unless you are sure it will end in intimacy. Love is the maturation of friendship. You must be friends before lovers. Infatuation lacks confidence. When you are away, you wonder if he/she is cheating on you. Sometimes you even check. Love means trust. You are calm, secure and unthreatened. You feel that trust and it makes you even more trustworthy.

Infatuation might lead you to do things you’ll regret later, but Love will never will. Love lifts you up. It makes you a better person than you were before.

And that ends my post. See you again~ I'll be sure to publish my on-waiting posts before the New Year.

See you next time~

All I Want For Christmas Is.....

It's December 25, 2008! The birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. The time where we share our love through giving gifts or just simply greeting each other a Merry Christmas. Pero syempre hindi mo maiiwasan na ang iyong mga inaanak ay hihingi sa iyo ng regalo. [I know that feeling since may inaanak na ako LOL] Although you can't deny that each one of us wish for something.

And speaking of wishes, I too have a wish. It's just a simple wish. [ehem...for now~ LOL]

I want a new computer. My mom's friend and also our pc's "doctor" [LOL doctor tlga eh no wahahaha] gave us some suggested specs. I don't know much about specs but I do want a really high spec in preparation for games that I want to try. [Online and Computer Game LOL] Also, I have high memory capacity. Right now I don't have enough memory due to my mp3 collections LOL.

I also want a laptop. Swerte nalang at meron sila naha
nap na mura lang and 0% interest. Of course, the moment I saw that talagang naiinggit ako LOLS
Lastly, I want a Nokia 5610. I know this is just the updated version of my Nokia 5300 but really I must say, my cellphone is already old. Sa sobrang tanda na niya, nasisira na yung keypad. Mahirap na pindutin yung mga keys.

Each of us wants something for Christmas but the greatest gift is not always wrapped in beautiful packages. It's the thought that counts.

Merry Christmas to all~

Letran College Week "Arriba Fest"

Last December 18,2008 was our last day before Christmas vacation. It is also the Arriba Fest night. The night started with a Mass and fireworks. [I have a video of it but I'll just post it before New Year's Eve.] Different bands participated in our Arriba Fest and they are Christian Bautista [yes I know he is not a band but a singer nevertheless, he participated in our fest], Taken by Cars, Paraluman, Rivermaya and Parokya ni Edgar.

Christian Bautista was the first to perform. Many girls are near the stage just to take a picture of him close-up and also a video. I was dragged by my "girl" friend [no not girlfriend/gf LOLS] to accompany her near the stage. While I was with her there were too many people and it's really really hot. Mabuti na lang may pamaypay ako nung oras na yun. Since I can't stand the crowd, I asked her if we could just watch from a distance. She agreed however, Christian Bautista got off the stage and into the grounds. At dahil dun, hinila na naman ako ng kaibigan ko. We got separated although I can see her. But I don't want to force myself to go near. Ayoko pa naman ng mainit. So I just waited in a less crowded spot. Moving on, I can say that his performance was really good. I don't have anything negative to say about his performance. In fact, I even sing-along LOLS funny it may be but I did like one song he sang. It's an old song but I really like that song. [It's not one of his songs but rather an old song that he used to sing.]

After Christian Bautista's performance comes the start of the bands. The first one was Taken by Cars. I don't know this bands and I think they are not yet popular since they are allowed to sing 7 songs. Imagine, ang daming kanta na nun. Why 7 songs? well because they are new and not recognized. Bands that are famous or well-known are allowed to sing 4 to 5 songs. [I think kasi hindi ko naman nabilang rin sabi lang yan ng friend ko] Moving on, I must say they their vocalist is really bad. I mean, she can't even mix her voice with the music and not to mention a little delayed. No offense to their fans but in my humble opinion, hindi maganda ang performance nila. Ayoko yung mga kinanta nila at ayoko rin ang tune ng kanilang music. My fellow schoolmates and classmates would agree with me. Although there are student's who are near the stage. Pero ganun pa man, pangit talaga ang performance nila for me. I can't stand their music that time. I don't know why their performance was really awful. But maybe because they are not prepared? The vocalist is the main problem. I don't see any problem with the others and the sound system. Yung vocalist kasi, ang hina hina ng boses. Nasasapawan ang kanyang boses ng tugtog. But anyway, I don't want to rant anymore and I just hope they do improve. I don't think they are that bad. Maybe more practice and more preparation before performing. Maybe it's not their lucky day too. O well~ I don't want to rant anymore and please don't flame me in my comments page.

After that Paraluman was next. I don't know them but they are popular [Sorry hindi ako updated sa OPM LOL] I don't have much to say about them but I liked their performance. Kahit na sabi ng vocalist na paos siya at may sakit. She still sings nice.

Rivermaya was the next one to perform. Many students and I think professors too rushed near the stage. Now this is the band I know. Although Rico Blanco is not around anymore, their new vocalist was really good. I like all of the songs they sang that time. But unfortunately I have to go home and I didn't manage to hear their last performance [naabutan ko lang is 214 with is favorite ko sa kanila pero wala ako magagawa kundi umuwi na at hinahanap na ako LOL]

The last but not the least was Parokya ni Edgar. I can't tell much about their performance nor the songs they sang. But according to my classmates they had a really fun night. And sabi nila na the best ang Parokya ni Edgar. And so, I have to believe them. LOL

It was a long night and although I didn't manage to finish the whole concert, I did enjoy it and had a really fun night.

And that is the end of the College Week and start of the Christmas vacation. I don't have much to do here at home but I do watch anime, read manga, chat at yahoo messenger, surf the net, listen to music, sleep and other things LOL. I don't blog much as I have said and you see that my post are irregular. It really depends on my mood. Sometimes I want to post but I didn't manage to continue because I was so sleepy that I forgot. Tignan ninyo rin. Ilang araw na ang nakalipas bago ko matapos ang College Week special ko LOL.

Anyway I'll make sure to post before the New Year.

See you next time~

Letran College Week "Run for Camiguin"

Last December 16, 2008 was the Fun Run called "Run for Camiguin". The event started with a warm-up [well not all of us warmed-up since we cannot really see the steps and not to mention the steps are corny and boring. After that, we went outside the campus and stationed beside the Gym. When the signal fire was shot, all people [students and employees alike] started to run. But because it is too crowded, many people walked first before running.

There are 5 stop-overs each having designated colors. The 1st stop is near the Lyceum campus, 2nd is near the PLM campus, 3rd is near the San Agustin Church, 4th is near Manila Cathedral and the last stop is beside the Letran Gym. For the colors, the 1st stop's color is white, 2nd is black, 3rd is blue, 4th is yellow and last stop is red.

During the fun run, I didn't really run because if I do run, sooner or later my back would hurt. I don't know but maybe I have a feeling that I might be starting to have hypertension. O_O Well so there, I didn't manage to run but instead, I just walk and enjoy looking at the buildings and try to remember them so that I won't get lost LOL

After the fun run, we head straight to our bio class to have our blood typing. There are 2 serums that we should know. The blue serum is the anti-A serum and the yellow is the anti-B serum. I don't quite get it but if your blood would clot in the blue serum then you are type A and if your blood would clot at the yellow serum then you are type B. If your blood would clot at both serum then you are type AB and if not then you are type O.

I asked my friend if he could prick me because I'm scared of blood but I don't faint if I would see blood. And so he did pricked me and placed it in a slide. But the thing is, he wiped it in the slide instead because my blood won't drop easily. [Maybe because I'm still tired from the run and my blood won't drop right away.] Dahil sa ginawa niya, ang sakit tuloy. I mean when he pricked my ring finger it doesn't hurt much but when he wiped it in the slide it hurts. Then we quickly placed a cotton at my bleeding finger [LOL mukha lang siyang bleeding kasi kumalat yung dugo sa side. Akala ko sa side niya ni-prick kasi hindi mo na makita kung saan kasi ni-prick and besides mas maraming dugo sa side] After that, we checked our blood type and my blood type is B. LOL I though I was A haha! But no matter if I'm blood A or B hindi ako ampon. Well my parents are both blood AB so if you would do it in a punnett square, I can have A,B or AB but not O. So at least I'm glad. [LOLS hindi ako ampon! hahaha!]

And that's all I can tell. There aren't many activities that day. Next time, I'll post the Arriba fest and also the aftermath LOL

See you next time~

Letran College Week "Field Demonstation"

Last December 16, 2008 was the Field Demonstration of Elementary, High School and College Departments. I didn't manage to watch all of the field demo but I did manage to watch the Grade 5 and 6 dance and the College and High School Department's field demos [somewhat lang kasi hindi pa maganda ang pwesto ko nun haha!]

The Grade 5 and 6 pupils are really energetic during their demo. I must say it was an amazing dance since their energy really amazes the audience. [sorry no pics I forgot to take their picture and wala pa ako sa magandang spot para manood eh]

For the College Department, they demonstrated different folk dances [hindi ko na alam yung mga tawag sa kanila LOL]. For their performance, all I can say is that they are "somewhat" coordinated. I mean, they have good coordination despite some who cannot catch up with the others but at least they are not that noticed. Also I noticed, some of the dancers are not that graceful. Hindi naman sa pag-aano pero matitigas yung katawan ng iba. [Again no pics, even though I'm watching already at a good spot. I didn't find it interesting to take a picture of them. *Shhhhhh* LOLS]

For the High School Department, [haha they were the last to perform kaya ko sila hinuli] they demonstrated different dances starting from the 70's till the present.

The 1st and 2nd years danced a 70's - 80's dance. I don't know if anyone of you guys know this song but I remember this song well since my family danced it one time to show me. The song that I can remember is "Body Dancer" LOL and here's a picture of them dancing the body dancer move:

Next, the 3rd year and some 4th years danced an 80's - 90's dance. [I think LOL] I don't know what the song is but all I know is that they have those Elvis-like dress and an afro hair LOL. Here's a picture of them dancing:

Last but not the least, all the 4th year students danced a 90's - present dance. This is the last performer but I really liked it LOL I really laughed. I don't remember the songs but I remember they have this Neyo-like attire [complete with a hat LOL] and inside, I don't what it is called but it's like a macho-like dress? LOL! Here's a picture of them wearing the all-white Neyo-like attire:

Here's a picture of them taking their jackets off: [LOL may katabi ako 2 lalaki na yung isa ay bakla. Nung nagtatanggalan na sila ng jacket, tinawag nung lalaki yung bakla and niloloko na siya. Tapos yung iba na sa tingin ko ay mga High Schoolers ay nagtitilian rin LOL]

And lastly, here's a picture of them without the jacket and white hat [LOL mas maraming nagtilian kasi nagmamacho dance kasi sila LOL!]

By the way, the 1st and 2nd years did a good job dancing although not really that coordinated since hindi sila lahat sabay-sabay. The 3rd and some 4th years did a good job also kasi sabay-sabay plus they are enjoying it. For the the 4th years, I know you guys noticed there is a girl. Well konti lang kasi sila na babae sa sayaw. I think, only they are only 3. LOL going back, their performance was also good since they are enjoying it too.

And so there you go, I don't want to post all picture since it's too many LOL I'll post next time for the last 2 days of the College and what I have been doing after the college week.

Until next time~

Letran College Week "Letran's 388th Anniversary"

December 15, 2008, just 10 days before Christmas is the Letran College Week. This is also in line with Letran's 388th Anniversary. The day started with a Mass as a thanks to the Lord. After the Mass is the start of the parade. Since we are attending the Mass, we had to quickly change to our costumes. It's rather hard to change since there are too many people who are still changing. After changing to our costumes, we quickly rushed to our designated place since the parade already started. We can't really dance while in the parade to tell you the truth. It's hard to dance while walking and although our steps are simple, it is not easy to do it. Also there are too many people watching and it's really embarassing.

After the parade, we don't have any classes anymore and we can go home. But one of my classmates invited me to look at the different stalls in our school grounds. While wandering around, it is as if I'm in a fair because of the stalls and not to mention a mini caterpillar ride. Biruin ninyo, meron pang caterpillar ride. Meron rin mga mini games like yung shooting mini soldiers to get a price, popping balloons using dart pins at iba pa. Also while wandering around, there is this human statue that will do a robot dance if he one will place some money in the little container. It was so cool! I can't believe that a High Schooler could do one like that [yes well, I can't do it so I'm so amazed LOL] After that, he took a break and that is when we saw one booth called "Marriage Booth." LOLS natatawa ako kasi dati nung High School pa ako, meron nang ganyan sa amin twing Intramurals namin. After that, some of my old classmates invited us to ride the caterpillar ride. At first we don't want to but after seeing them riding it, we decided to try it for ourselves. [Hindi kami naiinggit ng lagay na yan LOLS]

After the ride, we sat down and took a rest. While taking a break, many high schoolers are dragging their fellow classmates/schoolmates to the Marriage booth. Nakakatawa kasi may posas pa yung dalawang ikakasal. Baka raw kasi tumakas sayang ang effort ng paghahanap sa kanila. I forgot to mention that that Marriage booth includes a certificate, picture, bouquets and rings. O diba? Parang ikakasal lang talaga LOLS. Amongst all that are wed there, the one couple that really shocked me are the two boys. LOL! Two Boys?! OMG! LOL Come on! Based from their behavior, they are not gays nor bi. Natatawa parin ako kasi talagang pinipilit na makatakas sila pero hindi parin kasi naka posas kasi silang dalawa.

And so I end my story there. Umuwi na kasi ako after inaantok na ako LOLS

Btw, I didn't manage to post for 4 days since I'm so tired and busy with school activities. I'll try to post more next time. Maybe after this hectic week.

College Recollection @ St. Thomas Hall

Last November 25, 2008, We had our recollection [our requirement in Theo101] and our speaker was one of the admins of our school and he is also a member of a band in the past. Fr. Nap was really a good speaker and we enjoyed listening to him in the first parts of the talk. He even let us listen to one of their band's songs.

I'll Always be There

-- This song is so beautiful. Very good lyrics and tune.

Gone Faraway

-- Also a beautiful song. This song is like a love song to God

Sadly our recollection is only a half-day recollection but nevertheless it was a successful one. We are given very nice rosaries. I can even wear it actually hahaha!

And that ends my daily post. See you again tomorrow~

Sayings about Love

Here I am again to bring you....Sayings about Love~ [LOLS] Honestly, I have been posting this over and over again in every blog that I have. But, I never get tired of posting it though since these quotes are really nice.

So without further ado, I present to you that quotes~

Do not be afraid to love. If it hurts, love more. If it still hurts, love some more. Love til it hurts no more.

Before saying the words I'll love you forever, first ask yourself if you are ready because most of us are ready to face love but not everyone is ready to face forever.

Sometimes a heart cannot afford to be just friends. Look not for beauty nor whiteness but look for the heart that is loyal within.

Beauty may fade and skin grows old but the heart that is loyal will never grown cold. Kindness in words creates confidence, kindness in thinking creates profoundness, and kindness in giving creates love.

Some people never say the words "I love you," it's not their style to be so bold.

Some people never say the words "I love you," but like a child are longing to be told. The most important thing in a relationship between a man and a woman is that one of them be good at taking orders. How come we don't always know when love begins, but we always know when it ends.

Love is that feeling you get when you run across a field, full of raving wolves, you know that feeling you have when you get arrested for the 1st time.

Sometimes love can be yours when you want it. Sometimes you don't want it when it comes. But when the time comes you want it and it is there for you to keep, I hope you won't let go.

It is a shame when one realizes love is worth when it is too late. So, why don't you stop and think for a while if you have set aside a love you cannot live without cause it might not be there the next time you look.

Ironies of love: It is hard to find, but easy to lose; makes you feel good, but hurts you so bad; open your eyes, but makes you blind; fills up your heart then tears it apart.

The gauge of how much you really treasure something or someone is not how happy you are with them, but how sad you are when you lose them.

Relationships are like glass. Sometimes it’s better to leave them broken than try to hurt yourself by putting it back together; or worse, have nothing strong to bind it with.

In love, think things over if you’re sure about how you feel. Don’t fall too hard, Not knowing where you stand cause it will hurt real bad if things don’t go the way you want them to be.

Why say “Hi”, if you can say “Hello”?

Why say, “Let’s go out”, if you mean, “I want to be with you”?

Why say, “Stay”, if you can say “Be with me”

Why say “I care” when your heart says, “I love you”?

Sometimes we take for granted those we love thinking they will always be around. But time will come when they will give up and you have no chance but to let go.

Heartbreaks could last as long as you let, it would tear us deep as you allow it to, But the test is not how soon you forget but how you were able to heal and at the same time learn.

Love is not an obligation. It need not have any expectations. Love is just beyond words. It is just felt within. Not ifs, no buts, but just because.

Sometimes it’s the things that aren’t said that mean the most.

Love is an EVERYTHING, but there is NO everything without LOVE.

And that's all folks~ I'll see you all the next time [I can't post all I want in one day. I would easily be bored of blogging if that is the case LOLS]

29th Grand Marian Procession @ Intramuros, Manila

The 29th Grand Marian Procession was held yesterday, December 7, 2008 at Intramuros Manila [specifically Manila Cathedral].

The procession started 4:00pm however many people already assembled near the vicinity and also at the Fort Santiago where all of the carriages with the image of Mary are waiting.

I arrived there at 2:15pm where there are many people at the Manila Cathedral and not to mention at Fort Santiago. I waited near the Palacio de Gobernador if ever my classmates are already around. While I was waiting, there was a vendor who sat next to me with many sombreros and some other stuff he sells. With the way he looks, he is not poor and not also rich. But what really shocked me is that when I saw his cellphone, I was surprised to see that it's the cellphone that I wanted, Nokia 5310. So you can't really say that man is poor [or it maybe 2nd hand? but still that's the cellphone I want]

*skips the waiting*

And so I met my classmates near Casa Rocha. From there, we waited for the others and also our professor. With so many people, you can't really see the people you are waiting. But we managed to meet him and also signed the attendance. After waiting near the Manila Cathedral our school was announced and soon students who are around started to join the procession. With so many people standing and blocking our pathways, we took another route to try and catch up.

While we were discussing one of my classma
tes looked at us and kept saying "Shit Shit!" and most of my classmates are laughing and screaming. I was really curious and looked. To my surprise I saw an old man peeing in front of us [of course hindi siya malapit sa amin LOLS] he was covering his sensitive part while peeing and screaming "Wag kayo tumingin! (Don't look at me!)" We runaway but all of us are laughing really hard. My friend even said that the old man was irrational because even though he was screaming at us not to look, he still peed in front of us.

After that incident, we finally caught-up with my ot
her classmates. We walked and walked until it was getting dark and we were getting really hungry and tired. We reached Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Manila (PLM). And then we had a long stop. While waiting, we saw a bunch of students who are holding pieces of paper in which we were wondering what is that for [actually questionnaire siya to prove that you really joined the procession] we don't have one like that and it's a good thing since it's troublesome to white something in every stop.

After awhile, we noticed that many people are starting to leave. So we asked our prof. My friend, Mike, asked when will the procession end. He replied "Hanggang sa Grand Stand (Until the Grand Stand)." Of course we were surprised because that would be too far and tiring [not to mention unbelievable]. So we persuaded him to ask our prof. again and also ask if we can now go home. He then replied "Hanngang sa Manila Cathedral (Until Manila Cathedral)" and then we asked if we can go home. Our prof. said to him "I'm not forcing you. You decide if you want to go home." We were doubtful with what our prof. said because it maybe some kind of a trick [baka kasi nangongonsensya hahaha] and so we still continued.

We passed Mcdo, Mapua and Lyceum and we were almost near Letran. After that, one of my classmates found some pamphlets endorcing 7-elevens promo.

Since we are tired, hungry and not to mention thirsty, we rushed to 7-eleven. When we arrived at 7-eleven, we were surprised to see many Letranites inside [so doon pala sila mga nagsipunta pagkatapos mabigay ang papel sa prof nila LOL] After buying our food, we checked outside to see if our line already passed or not. Since it's still far away, we sat down to eat. When we found our line, we went back. Nakakatuwa nga kasi nagtataka yung isang classmate ko kung bakit ang bilis namin kumain ni Joseph while she and Edward are still not yet finished. Our prof. approached us and wodered why we are still there. "Sir nakakahiya naman kasi sa inyo eh" sabi namin. It didn't take long before we decided to go home [mahirap na kasi umuwi ng sobrang gabi at hinahabol namin ang oras ng last train sa LRT] We bid our prof. goodbye and went home.

That event was really fun even though it's tiring since I get to be friends with my other classmates who just transfered from our section. They are nice but not all. I mean there are others who are social climbers like our class president 's group and since I don't like those types of people, I don't really want to but-in with them. Kumbaga, ayoko na lang maging sobrang malapit kasi who knows, mamaya titirahin ka sa likod [ayoko pa naman sa lahat ang ganon]

And that's all for today, I'll post more during my freetime~

Nosce te ipsum - Know thyself -- An Introduction --

Nosce te ipsum - Know thyself

This Latin phrase caught my attention since it is simple but it has a deep meaning. Anyway, I don't really blog to tell you the truth but there comes a time that I have this "urge" to blog whatever is happening around me that I think are interesting. But still, I don't continue in the end because of other factors.

But now that I signed for a new blog, then I'll place of what experience daily and special events where I'm around.

And so, this concludes my introduction [LOL] until next time~
